Environment
- Generalities and history of safety in industrial environments Despite the abundance of machinery and tools, workers are often exposed to various hazards. With the advancement of technology and the increasing use of machinery in production, the risks and the possibility of accidents in such environments increase.
Definitions and Content
Basically, industrial safety is a broad discipline which consists of a set of measures, principles and regulations that can be used to effectively maintain manpower and capital in the face of various risks in industrial environments, and thus a safe environment will be created to increase employee efficiency.

Safety
The definition of safety is the degree to which hazards are present. When there is a hazard, the negative effects can occur. The word (Danger) refers to a hazard, so safety is the antonym of the word (Danger), and seeks to eliminate actual hazards in the workplace. There is no 100% safety and it will practically never be achieved, hence it is said that safety is a relative protection against dangers. A place, a specific job, or a device is considered safe when the risk of death, injury, or illness is reasonably low for those who are there or work with the device. In general, it can be said that the acceptable risk increases with decreasing safety level and decreases with increasing safety level. In fact, occupational health reduces disease and industrial safety reduces all risks.
Industrial safety engineering:
According to the definition of safety, safety engineering is “the regulation or system used to reduce the occurrence of accidents by eliminating or controlling hazards.” In industrial safety engineering, the issues that are considered in the safety of the workplace are:
A- Accident prevention
B- Human factors
C- Design and placement of devices and equipment
D – Safety management and guidance
E- Training and – Inspection of engineering activities
Safety has become more widespread today and has spread to various branches and academic disciplines, which include:
Risk management
Risk prevention
Fire Engineering
Health and safety risk control
Human values
Most importantly, companies should pay attention to the value and dignity of the human agent and his health. It is necessary for management to have an impact on all employees and the work environment and to know the environmental safety factors that are effective in reducing accidents and to use their efforts and power in maintaining the health of employees and machinery in a desirable way.
Environmental Management
It has not been more than 4 decades since the 1960s, when scientists sounded the alarm bells threatening the health of the environment as industrial activity in various societies increased, but in the same short time, humans have faced many environmental problems that require international determination and broad cooperation among all nations. The environment is the common capital and property of all human beings. This capital belongs not only to the present generation but also to all future generations. Therefore, its preservation and protection is a social responsibility. Despite all these facts, humans have not behaved sensibly and environmentally friendly, so that today air pollution, water, soil, acid rain, cracks in the ozone layer and rising of the global average temperature, regardless of the geographical boundaries of countries, has endangered the lives of all human beings. Among the most important events that have taken place in relation to the environment are the Stockholm Conference (Sweden-1972), the Rio Conference (Brazil-1992), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and other international conferences such as Toronto, Vienna and Tokyo Japan conferences. Despite very strong promises and facts about the environment, unfortunately, the unfair treatment of human beings with this environment continues, although the enactment of special laws and regulations and the conclusion of international agreements have greatly improved the situation. In accordance with ISO 14001, the organization, in compliance with all national environmental laws and regulations, defines macro and micro objectives for the continuous improvement of the system, and by continuous monitoring and measurement, gradually not only the environmental effects and aspects of activities It controls itself, but from other perspectives, it pushes the boundaries of its system and covers new things that can affect them.

Health and the environment
The basic need for safe conditions is the same for all of us, where there is safe water, enough food and shelter, and where different people can live together in peace and tranquility. Several years have passed since the Earth Summit, and during this time, new steps have been taken at the national and global levels, which have revealed the need for more effective measures in the field of health and the environment. Therefore, the time has come to analyze how we as a human community will meet these needs, how development can provide resources for health, and how such development can pose a threat to health or deplete natural resources.
This article focuses on the health of girls and boys, women and men, many of whom struggle to survive and thrive in adverse environmental conditions. Every day the world has to accept more people. On average, three people are added to the world’s population every second, which is about 90 million people a year. Population growth itself poses problems in providing the water, food, and shelter needed for health, especially as population growth often occurs in developing countries, where access to resources is inadequate.
